Been looking for this track for ages! fab! Reminds me of all that was good about 80's music - Remember the vocal sounding a bit more 'Tilbrook' than it does today. Excellent!!!!

What a great web-site. Can't tell you how pleased I am to finally hear some great and memorable tracks. As an original member of PC I have always regretted not keeping copies of some of the fantastic work created by Marc and Colin. Thanks to you Phil, that is no longer a problem. I hope that there is more to come. Any chance of "His Masters Voice"?

I heard "Strictly Confidential" on the radio (the German station "Bayern 3") and the next day I fetched the 7" at my local record store. Then I've never heard your name again until I found a forum, where people trade obscure 80's music. And now I'm here on this website. Thank you very much. Unfortunately it seems, you had to rip your own stuff from vinyl, too. On ebay someone is offering the 12" of "Strictly Confidential" with a starting bid of 19,99 pounds! DAMN!!! Best wishes from Germany Robert

Subject:The Masonic, Berry Street
I am so grateful to you for putting up this website. I used to go and watch Personal Column perform whenever I could in the Masonic pub on Berry Street in Liverpool back in 1982 and 1983 or maybe it was just 1983. That time they played 3 nights in a row I was there every night with a couple of friends. I even went out to Comet and bought a portable Sony tape recorder just so I could capture a couple of those gigs. I remember one night there were four or five people in the Masonic making their own recordings- you could see the little red LEDs all in a row. Unfortunately those tapes got worn out over the years and are now almost unplayable. We also made the trip through the Mersey Tunnel to see them perform at a pub in Birkenhead or Wallasey one time although it seemed like we were the only people there- certainly didn't capture the great atmosphere of the Masonic. We were convinced that they were going to become a major success and I'm still amazed that didn't happen. Over that time period, I scrambled together whatever songs I could from live recordings, Peel sessions and singles. Now here they all are in one place so thanks again for making the recordings available for download- this is going to become one of my favourite CDs! Andy
